All about Crystals

Oxford dictionary defines CRYSTAL as a piece of a homogeneous solid substance having a natural geometrically, regular form with symmetrically arranged plane faces.

In the New Age and Spiritual genre’s – CRYSTALS also include Minerals and other Geodes – all of which are natural, from the Earth, or other planetary bodies.

These CRYSTALS have been used for hundreds of years in rituals and folk lore for healing of physical and mental ailments and aids in prayers and meditation. Shaman, Yogis, Ayurvedic medicine practitioners and Spiritual Healers believed these CRYSTALS had magical, mystical and energetic properties to heal and balance many types of ailments.

As an Ordained Spiritualist Minister and an experienced Spiritual Healer and Counselor, I believe in science and proving that Spiritual/Alternative healing modalities actually work. That being said – Do CRYSTALS have energies that can heal??? – The answer is Yes – but very few. Copper, Silver, Sodium Chloride, Himalayan Salts, Pewter, Platinum and Titanium (to name a few) DO have scientifically proven healing properties.

But what about the other beautiful, highly sought after CRYSTALS? They do too – but in a more indirect, representative, mindful way. I have quite the collection of crystals on my prayer alter and I DO USE CRYSTALS in my healing sessions.
